Regular donors

We rely heavily on food donations from schools, businesses and individuals, so hugely appreciate anything that can be done to contribute. We do have limited capacity to collect donations however, so if you have food donations for the food bank, have a look at the below information before getting in touch with us about it. Ideally you will be able to deliver the food to us directly, but if you require a collection can also be arranged.

What you can do when making a donation

All donations are gratefully received, however there are a couple of other things you can do that will help us sort the items as quickly and efficiently as possible:

  • Make sure the item is before its use by date and write it on the side of the item if it is hard to see.
  • Leave a note detailing how many items are in the donation.

This helps us record how much we have coming in. Alternatively, you can email the amount to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Organising a collection

If you would like to carry out a collection at your place of work, you can download and print off a shopping list to provide guidance on the things we need. We have containers that could be collected/delivered to you to store the food in, but having your own means to do so may allow things to move a bit quicker. Please email us if you would like to hold a collection, or carry one out and then let us know when you have food for collection/delivery!

Delivery

If you are able to deliver food directly to us, the best time is between 9:00- 13:00 every Wednesday or between 16:00-18:00 every Friday to: W.E.C.H Community Centre, W9 3RS. Please let us know if you plan on delivering in these times to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and follow points 1 and 2 on the below map. A picture of the donation would also be useful, so that we can be sure that we have the appropriate space. For particularly large donations, we can arrange for a drop off to our nearby storage unit.
If you cannot deliver in these times, please arrange a different time via the above email, and follow points 3 and 4 on the map below, or arrange to meet a volunteer/staff member at the storage unit.
